Our team was challenged by WDI to develop a unique RD&E experience for Hong Kong Disneyland. There were several concerns which we were required to consider in our design - the weather conditions of the area, the outstanding shopping opportunities that already exist in Hong Kong, meeting a predetermined quota of hotel rooms, and integration with the 1st and 2nd gate parks, to name a few. We created a story, which can be read below, and developed the idea into three distinct districts, which integrate the surrounding landscape, the waters of Penny's bay and the existing theme park and hotels.
